Statutory and Non-Statutory Audits and Special Investigations
The provision of effective, efficient and independent examinations of a client’s financial statements in accordance with relevant statutory and professional requirements, is at the heart of our business at Ahmed Zakari & Co. Non-statutory audit services, investigations, due diligence engagements and reporting accountants’ services are also provided.
Bookkeeping and Accountancy Services
The service ranges from simple book keeping, to preparation of a full set of financial statements consisting of trading, profit and loss accounts and balance sheet - including consolidated financial statements for group companies.
Taxation Services
Provision of day to day taxation and tax compliance services such as filing of client’s tax returns with the relevant tax authorities, computing client’s tax liabilities, advising / representing clients in the event of tax investigations and negotiating settlements with the Inland Revenue Service for tax offences.
Our tax planning service is forward-looking in that we look into the future to see ways of minimising a client’s future tax liabilities through a careful use of tax avoidance schemes. Our focus is to help clients keep tax issues from becoming tax problems. Corporate Finance and Secretarial Services
In Ahmed Zakari & Co., corporate finance service is a two dimensional function. There is the Corporate Recovery Service that essentially deals with distressed businesses, wherein we take over the business, as “liquidator” or “receiver” on behalf of an external stakeholder, or we may come in to help implement a turnaround plan.
The other aspect of our corporate finance service deals with looking at ways of raising both short-term and long-term finance for a client. Our secretarial services include execution of clients’ incorporation instructions and on-going corporate compliance such as filing of annual returns, increase in share capital, maintenance of minutes and other statutory books. In our business consulting service, we work with management teams of companies to design corporate strategies that will give them a competitive edge. We study how clients are organising their business and how their competitors may be organising theirs, what is best practiced within the industry and, thereafter, examine ways the clients can improve their performance.
